Showcasing Urban Trees for Environmental Education with
IoT Technology. SUTEE is an ERASMUS+ Strategic Cooperation Partnership in the field of school education project.
The annual “Long Night of Research” (Lange Nacht der Forschung) connects laboratories and research institutions in an open house event across the city of Vienna. It allows the public to peek behind the scenes of renowned universities and their research work. This year, the University College of Teacher Education took part as one of the stations with an extensive public programme showcasing the work of our researchers in the area of education.
Running from 17:00 to 23:00, the event at our location was well visited by a great number of people. The shows included some hands-on experiments and fun tasks in mathematics and other fields of primary and secondary education, including robotics and AI.

The SUTEE project was present with a poster session, explaining to the audience the objectives and status of the project and encouraging impact in the public’s own surroundings, for example their home gardens.
