Noise Pollution Meter in Urban areas

Students use the SUTEE noise meter app to investigate noise pollution in urban areas. They collect sound-level measurements at locations with different tree densities, compare their findings and discuss the role of green spaces in reducing urban noise.

The activity combines preparation and reflection in the classroom with outdoor fieldwork, encouraging learners to formulate hypotheses, gather evidence and explain differences between locations.
