SUTEEComp at INTED2026: Digital and Sustainability Competencies for Higher Education Teaching
On
On March 2-4, 2026, Michael Eichhorn, Prof. Dr. Alexander Tillmann (Goethe-University Frankfurt) and Prof. Dr. Bernardo Tabuenca (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) attended INTED2026 in Valencia to present the SUTEEComp competency framework as an oral presentation and a poster presentation with the titel: “IoT for Urban Environmental Learning: Monitoring Green Urban Areas with Low-Cost Sensing Technologies”.
INTED2026 — one of the largest international conferences on digital teaching and learning — this year placed particular emphasis on the use of AI in education, AI literacies, and teacher education. Against this backdrop, we presented the SUTEEComp framework, which integrates digital competencies with sustainability competencies (Green Competencies, Competencies for Sustainable Development) and was developed within this ERASMUS+ project SUTEE.
SUTEEComp provides a structured foundation for describing competencies in the areas of digitalisation and sustainability — and for building on these to design learning materials and teaching scenarios, among other applications. The conference gave us the opportunity to discuss the framework with the international community and gather valuable feedback to inform its further development and application.
