Welcome to SUTEE!
Showcasing Urban Trees for Environmental Education with
IoT Technology. SUTEE is an ERASMUS+ Strategic Cooperation Partnership in the field of school education project.
The SUTEE team recently had the opportunity to visit the San Pascual Market in Madrid (mercadosanpascual.es), where the innovative company ISIFarmer (isifarmer.com) operates a pioneering urban farm. This visit marked an exciting step toward future collaborations focused on sustainability, education, and technology-driven agriculture.
ISIFarmer, known for cultivating and distributing fresh microgreens to both restaurants and individual consumers, welcomed the SUTEE team into their urban farming space located within the market. The ISIFarmer team kindly walked us through the technological infrastructure behind their indoor cultivation system, showcasing how controlled environments, sensors, and automation enable efficient and sustainable food production right in the heart of the city.
The conversation also touched on ISIFarmer’s vision to expand their model across urban neighbourhoods in Madrid and beyond, always with a focus on local, sustainable consumption.
This visit aimed to lay the groundwork for future pilots and student-led activities within the SUTEE project. By connecting urban farming with environmental education and IoT-based experimentation, we hope to empower students to better understand the possibilities of sustainable food systems in urban settings.
We’re excited about the potential of this collaboration and look forward to bringing new learning experiences to life through joint initiatives.
