Testing SUTEE IoT prototype in Viena

During the 4th Transnational Project Meeting and the Learning Teaching and Training (LTT) workshop for the “SUTEE: Showcasing Urban Trees for Environmental Education with IoT Technology” project, celebrated in Viena (Austria) from May 19 to 23 2025, partners and LTT teachers had the opportunity to test the IoT prototype developed by UNED for the project.

Excursions with 3 different groups of teachers were carried out, taking samples of temperature, humidity, CO2 and air pollution in different spots, such as near the PHW building, a parking lot and a park

The participants could easily understand, thanks to the dashboards provided in the platform, that parameters such as temperature and CO2 were lower in the green areas, while humidity was higher. Thus, the importance of green areas in urban environments was highlighted. This little excursions sparked ideas among teachers on how to implement the SUTEE IoT prototype in their classes.
