Presentation of the SUTEEComp Framework at the DigiTell&Share Conference Frankfurt

How can a competence grid support the creation of learning designs for urban sustainability and environmental education? Alexander Tillmann and Michael Eichhorn from Goethe University answered these questions at the DigiTell&Share Conference (https://digitell.uni-frankfurt.de/) in Frankfurt (Germany) on April 4, 2025. In their presentation entitled: “Development of learning designs for urban change based on the DigComp and GreenComp” they presented the SUTEEComp Framework, a competence grid developed in the SUTEE project. The framework describes digital competencies in connection with Green Competencies, i.e. sustainability and environmental competencies. The 7 competence areas of the framework were reviewed by experts in a multi-stage design-based research process: Both scientists and teachers from different countries evaluated the framework with regard to the criteria of clarity, completeness and relevance, thus enabling iterative further development of the framework.

Using examples of different learning scenarios, the two authors showed how the SUTEEComp framework can be used to support the learning design process, particularly in the area of inquiry-based learning. Starting with the formulation of learning objectives and the selection of digital tools through to the design of learning activities and assessments.
