Testing SUTEE IoT and sensor devices in Madrid
On
During the 3rd Transnational Project Meeting for the “SUTEE: Showcasing Urban Trees for Environmental Education with IoT Technology” project, celebrated in Madrid (Spain) on January 22 and 23, 2025, partners had the opportunity to test some of the IoT and sensor devices of the project.
In particular, a soil moisture sensor was used to measure the humidity in different spots of the excursion. The use of this sensor provided insightful information of how soil moisture changes for example under a tree or far away from a tree in a rainy day.
Also, two types of temperature, humidity and air quality sensors were tested: one based on separated electronic components and an industrial one. The testing helped the partners to understand how the industrial one required more time to adjust the values than the other one, but it was more accurate.
