The SUTEE \u2013 Showcasing Urban Trees for Environmental Education with IoT Technology<\/strong> project was represented at the ClimateTech Summer School<\/strong>, hosted by the ZHAW School of Engineering<\/a> in Switzerland. The event brought together students, researchers, and professionals interested in exploring how technological innovation can contribute to addressing climate change and promoting sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, Bernardo Tabuenca<\/strong>, from Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid (UPM)<\/strong>, had the opportunity to present research and educational initiatives developed at UPM, with particular emphasis on the activities and outcomes of the SUTEE project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentation highlighted how Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, environmental sensors, and data-driven learning activities<\/strong> can support environmental awareness and sustainability education. Drawing on experiences from SUTEE, the session illustrated how digital technologies can help learners better understand environmental challenges and encourage them to take informed action in their local surroundings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the presentation, the Summer School provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with an international community of researchers, educators, and students<\/strong>. Discussions explored the role of digital innovation, environmental data, and interdisciplinary collaboration in developing solutions to climate-related challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation in this international initiative also contributed to the dissemination of SUTEE’s results and educational approaches<\/strong>, while opening opportunities for future collaborations in technology-enhanced environmental education, climate adaptation, and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
