As part of the programme, Dr. Bernardo Tabuenca (Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid) presented a full paper highlighting one of the SUTEE pilot experiences conducted in the Mobile App Development course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presentation, titled \u201cPlay, Code, and Transform: Environmental Education with Dice and Mobile Applications,\u201d showcased how project-based learning and digital tools can be combined to promote sustainability competencies in higher education. The pilot was carried out with 4th-year students of the Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Computer Engineering, using a methodology aligned with the goals of the SUTEE project: fostering environmental awareness in urban contexts through the use of IoT and mobile technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"740\" height=\"382\" data-id=\"2080\" src=\"https:\/\/sutee.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-36.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2080\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sutee.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-36.png 740w, https:\/\/sutee.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-36-300x155.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 740px) 100vw, 740px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the pilot, students first explored urban environmental topics using the \u201cClimate Story Cubes,\u201d a storytelling tool that randomly combines environmental challenges, impacted entities (humans, plants, animals), and possible solutions. These narratives served as the basis for the design and development of educational mobile applications, coded using Kotlin and Dart.
