The activity targeted both <strong>students and professionals in the field of agronomy<\/strong>, introducing them to the potential of IoT-enabled microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators for <strong>precision irrigation management<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the heart of the workshop was a smart irrigation head designed to monitor and optimize water usage through real-time data collection and automated control. Participants explored how ESP32 microcontrollers, pressure and flow sensors, and electrovalves could be connected to cloud services and mobile interfaces to create intelligent irrigation systems. A Telegram-based control system was also presented, enabling alerts and remote commands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83c\udf31 <strong>Competence-Based Learning with SUTEEComp<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond its technical components, the activity was grounded in the <strong>SUTEEComp competence framework<\/strong>, which combines the European <strong>DigComp<\/strong> and <strong>GreenComp<\/strong> standards to support the development of digital and sustainability competences. Their feedback highlighted a strong interest in further exploring the integration of <strong>AI and automation<\/strong> in agriculture, particularly in relation to water and fertilizer optimization, disease detection, and real-time alerts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This demonstrative activity underscored the value of merging digital innovation with sustainability goals in agricultural education.
